Spoiling the View?

This photo was taken on an unidentified Mediterranean beach in Spain in 2002 and appeared recently in the magazine "Refugees", published by the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). The caption reads: The corpse of a would be migrant or refugee on a Mediterranean beach – one of some 6,000 similar deaths recorded in Europe over the past 12 years.

That is extremely callous of the people pictured and officials. I wonder how long the body had been lying there. Ati cant put my holiday on hold since some would be immigrant died on my patch of the beach! Atrocious!

It is hard to believe that the picture is genuine. I cannot imagine how anyone could sit on a beach with a corpse nearby!

If something floated out of the water the initial reaction would be to rescue it, or if too late, call the police.

None stranger than folk!

That's the last time I would vacation there for sure!
A sad state of affairs none the less!
